Zed Run’s latest racing experience updates prove that it’s not horsing around in its bid to remain the #1 NFT horse racing game in the space. Last month, the platform raised $20 Million in fresh funds from a Series A round and the new features give justice to it.
Zed Run’s Major Game Experience Updates
Zed Run has a reputation for being one of the NFT projects that you can really sink your teeth into. This is why it makes sense that the top request of the community is more $2.50-races. Users can now expect to see at least two $2.50 races at Class V and one in every other race class. In effect, the racing schedule within each class will now offer a larger variety of race distances available at any given time.
The main benefit of owning a horse NFT on Zed Run is the fast and exponential return on investment. The good ones can fetch around $40,000 winnings from a single race. There are also NFT holders who’ve managed to build their own stable and generate a steady $3,000 income every week. No wonder there’s a clamor to reduce the queue and the platform resolves this in the latest updates.
Soon, when all 12 gates are filled and confirmed, the race will run approximately five (5) minutes later. Basically, racehorses cannot be in two places at one time and racehorses are only able to enter one race at a time. Having removed queues, there will be multiple racing events now happening at once
The platform also made significant progress in terms of copying some elements of real-life horse racing. For example, Zed Run will activate the fatigue element. This means that each time you place your racehorse into a race, within that 24 hour period, its maximum potential speed will decrease. Zed Run decided to follow the community’s sentiment that racehorses should not be able to race continuously back-to-back without any effect on their performance.
Detailing the Updates
Jacob Smilovitz, Vice-President of TCG, one of Zed Run’s investors, gave an overview of the game’s future updates. He shared that, “What the team at Virtually Human Studio is building fundamentally alters what it means to be a fan. Fans are now empowered to come down from the bleachers, become owners themselves and play an active role in determining the outcome of the game.”
Obsessing on the racing experience, the upcoming updates states that when a racehorse loses in a higher class, it will no longer affect the racehorse’s current rating. Thus, players will no longer be able to enter their horses in higher competition with the intention of underperforming. This is because it usually leads to unfair advantage within the lower classes.
The platform didn’t play it safe in this update. For example, they decided to remove the odds because they think it is in the game’s best interest. Don’t worry if you love this feature because Zed Run will introduce an alternative way to gauge potential performance before the race. In essence, three flame symbols will sit next to the top three most likely racehorses to indicate that they can win the race.
We’ve covered the major updates so far. The full mechanics has been posted on the Community Page. Keep an eye out for future events, new leaderboards and an updated ranking system.
