The news will surprise many, but it proves how widespread NFT culture is, with many sports stars now involved in the space. In a video posted on Twitter, popular NFT user @Bubblegum_NFT shared the news with his seventeen thousand followers.
Zach Hyman doxxes himself in a video!
The professional ice hockey player Zach Hyman is a forward for Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League (NHL). In the short video, he explains that he and his brother are the two co-founders of Bubblegum Kids using their alter egos. He stated, “I just want to say a big thank you to all of you for supporting the brand”.
Zach Hyman has been using his BAYC NFT as his identity online for some time. His account, @Bubblegum_NFT, features his BAYC NFT as his profile picture. Ape #610 is a striking Bored Ape and has some great traits.
Significantly, it has pink fur, a black BAYC hat and bubblegum coming out of its mouth. This is what the hockey player has built the brand around, aka Bubblegum Kids.
What next for the ice hockey star?
Along with co-founding the Bubblegum Kids NFT project, Zach Hyman has several other companies. He is also the CEO of SoaR Gaming and an award-winning children’s author.
Bubblegum Kids is a unique collection of 10,000 NFTs with a large following. The ecosystem also includes Bubblegum Puppies and is continuing to grow. It will be interesting to see whether fans of Zach Hyman, the hockey player, will also now want to participate in the community NFT project.
