World of Women NFT project’s founder Yam Karkai represented the collection at Billboard Women in Music. There’s more to it as Billboard released two additional NFT covers designed by Yam Karkai. Interestingly, the cover features Karkai and Mariah Carey.
This partnership between Billboard and World of Women marks the first ever NFT artist to design an NFT magazine cover.
Yam Karkai shines at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards.
The new magazine covers feature the likenesses of Christina Aguilera, Madonna and Mariah Carey to honor the most iconic female performers. Moreover, Yam Karkai created the artwork for the covers with inspiration from her World of Women’s collective.
Billboard already auctioned the corresponding NFTs on the FTX US marketplace on Wednesday, March 2.
Christina Aguilera’s cover will benefit the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence. Whereas Madonna’s proceeds will go to City of Joy. Lastly, Mariah Carey will collaborate with Camp Mariah with the Fresh Air Fund.
In addition, the three NFT winners will have the opportunity to win a paid trip. Thus, the NFT holders can attend next year’s Women in Music ceremony in Los Angeles, where they will walk the red carpet and meet Karkai.
