Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League (WGWL) is bringing the PAIN to Polygon! This fascinating, turn-based, P2E NFT game has a lot going for it. With a few different character NFTs, and other NFTs that will affect game outcomes, there’s a lot to dig into. So without further ado, let’s learn more about the WGWL!
What is Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League?
To sum up, Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League is a turn-based, PvP fighting game on the Polygon network. This interesting NFT game also has play-to-earn mechanics, giving players a chance to earn tokens as they compete against each other.
The native token of WGWL is called Painium ($PAIN). Interestingly, Painium allows people to play the Wrejects Arcade Mode. In other words, you don’t need an NFT to try out the game and earn more $PAIN tokens. With that said, only NFT holders get to partake in WGWL’s awesome passive income model. That’s because owners earn $PAIN whenever their NFT character is chosen in Arcade Mode. In addition, they get a cut of any winnings their character makes.
Another key point about Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League is that players will need to outfit their NFT wrestlers with different NFT items. The items players will use depends on both their opponent and the arena that they are fighting in.
Speaking of characters and items, let’s take a look at the different NFT assets in the world of the Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League.
Wrejects are just one of five different NFTS in WGWL
Wrejects
Of course, the titular Wrejects are the main NFTs in the Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League. They are characters that players get to outfit and control in matches. Each Wreject is unique, with its own bio and special ability.
Notably, unlike standard generative NFT projects, the Wrejects are 100% hand-drawn. There are 150 Wrejects NFTs available in the first WGWL drop, with 150 more dropping around the time of Alpha testing (more on that later) and more Wrejects to come in the future!
Corporate Bots
Similar to Wrejects, Corporate Bots are also characters that players outfit and use to compete in Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League Matches. While Corporate Bot NFTs are also unique, they are separated by body style. Then, Corporate Bots within each body style have unique, hand-picked color combos.
The body styles themselves have bios and their own special abilities. Corporate Bots aren’t as rare as the Wrejects, with 2,500 of them in the first collection drop.
Equipping items in Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League
As noted above, Items play a very important role in the WGWL. Indeed, Items are what players will use to shift their characters’ attributes before matches. Items are crucial because players have to account not only for their own character’s attributes, but also for their opponent and arena.
Items fall into a few different categories. To list, these are attack, defense, and single-time use (one use per match). Players have one slot per each of these categories for a match. Single-use items are especially interesting as they introduce a heavy amount of strategy around which ones players equip for a match, as well as when they decide to use them. There are 10,000 Item NFTs in the Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League.
Arenas and Mining Claim NFTs
Arenas
Besides being the places where matches take place, Arenas also add status effects. In essence, they can add a special move to your player based on the environment. As a fun example, the Blood Desert Arena in Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League provides the ability to kick sand in your opponent’s eyes.
There are also some cool benefits to owning an Arena NFT. To that end, Arena holders can host PVP training matches, wager matches, and even full tournaments. Like Items, there are 10,000 Arena NFTs.
Mining Claim NFTs
Finally, there are the Mining Claim NFTs. These amazing NFTs allow their holders to get passive income in the form of a percentage of all the winnings on the platform. That means that the more fights there are on the WGWL platform, the more tokens Mining Claim NFTs will earn holders. Furthermore, only Mining Claim holders will be able to stake $PAIN. These NFTs will also be quite rare as only 1000 Mining Claims will ever be created.
Wrejects Galactic Wrestling League is set to begin Alpha testing in Q2 of this year, with a Beta launch set for Q3. Then, the team hopes to launch the full version of this exciting game in Q1 2023.
WGWL will launch its first NFT assets on March 31st. They’ll be available both on OpenSea via the Polygon network, and on the project’s website, ranging between $20 and $450. To keep up with all updates, be sure to check out its Discord community, as well as its Twitter and Instagram pages.
