World of women founder’s first NFT sold to collector Cozomo de’ Medici

Influential NFT collector, Cozomo de’ Medici, continues to build on his impressive collection, purchasing the first-ever NFT by World of Women founder and artist Yam Karkai.

The World of Women NFT collection continues to gain momentum in the NFT world. Huge Celebrities such as Reese Witherspoon and Eva Longoria Baston are members of the WoW community, using their online presence to promote the project. Furthermore, the pair are using their NFTs as profile pics on Twitter.

Now, due to the overwhelming popularity of the project, people are beginning to look for any works associated with them. Legendary NFT Twitter influencer Cozomo de’ Medici is one of them, and now, he has secured the jackpot.

In a Twitter thread, the anonymous influencer detailed how he decided to search for 1/1 Yam Karkai NFTs. He found 16 of these unique NFTs and decided he needed to own one. In fact, in the end, he purchased two, including the first NFT created by the World of Women founder.

The first one he decided to buy was Woman n°015, “The fire within you“, which cost him a mighty 22 ETH ($73,000). Eventually, he stumbled across the holy grail, the first-ever NFT created by the World of Women artist. Furthermore, it was released seven months before the collection launched.

Woman n°001, “Two faces” is a piece of NFT history. Now it is in the hands of one of the most well-known collectors. Cozomo de’ Medici purchased this 1/1 for 33 ETH ($109,000).

Finally, Yam Karkai is incredibly excited by the news of the sale, stating, “This means more than I can explain, especially cause one of them was Woman n°001m my first ever NFT. Emotional”.
