Web3 Community TimePieces Announces 2nd Resident: Timbaland!

Iconic music producer and mogul Timbaland will officially become the second artist-in-residence of Web3 community TIMEPieces. This partnership will come along with the latest NFT drop from the Web3 initiative by the historic TIME Magazine.

TIMEPieces x Timbaland partnership to include NFT music collection

As noted above, Timbaland is the second artist that TIMEPieces has selected as an artist-in-residence. The first artist to get this distinction was the young phenom, Nyla Hayes. Indeed, TIMEPieces will have a new artist-in-residence each quarter.

Significantly, Timbaland and TIMEPieces will be dropping a music NFT collection – The TIMEPieces x Timbaland: The Beatclub Collection. This set of music NFTs will feature 14 different artists. Each of them will create a video featuring an original beat from Timbaland’s sample marketplace, Beatclub.

There will only be a total of 252 NFTs in the collection, which will go on sale on the TIMEPieces website at the end of this month. In addition, the holders of the Timbaland x TIMEPieces collab NFTs will be able to take part in a contest. This will see them creating their own beats from Beatclub’s custom sound pack.

To be sure Timbaland has been very active in the NFT space for months now. For example, he dropped an NFT collection back in October 2021, which allowed holders to remix some of his biggest hits. More recently, he announced that he had invested in Yuga Labs’ upcoming metaverse RPG, Otherside.

Lastly, Timbaland spoke about his excitement around the TIMEPieces partnership. In a statement, he said that the NFT collection allows him to “bring more exposure to the power of creativity with music in NFTs, and to include Beatclub in the process.”
