Waka Flocka Flame scammed! Waka Flocka Flame has had one of his NFT wallets hacked, costing the famous rapper and NFT guru 19k. Yesterday, scammers sent several malicious NFTs to his wallet, leading to the hack.
Waka Flocka Flame had Thousands Stolen
The scam came after Wacka Flocka Flame clicked on the dubious NFTs on the platform Opensea, leading to the money being taken straight out of his account. The NFT enthusiast took to Twitter to express his outrage at the hack, posting a video explaining what happened.
Currently, over 300,000 people have viewed the video on the social media platform, with many commenting on the footage. Many expressed their sympathy towards Waka Flocka Flame but warned that the premature nature of NFTs means that they are becoming more susceptible to hacks. Likewise, others blamed NFTs in general, with many expressing that NFTs are too risky for investment.
The Waka Flocka Flame scam comes when hackers and scammers are increasingly targeting NFT owners. The other week, hackers managed to take thousands from NFT consumers on Discord, such as from NFT project Fractual. Likewise, the Opensea platform has come under fire due to a security breach by a White hat hacker.
As a result, many believe the platform does not have adequate security measures. Therefore, the Waka Flocka Flame scam must act as a sharp wake up call to Opensea to strengthen its security measures.
