More about Victoria’s Secret Trademark listing
In the early 1990s, Victoria’s Secret, which was founded in the late 1970s by late American businessman Roy Raymond, became the largest lingerie retailer in the United States.
With the launch of the iconic annual fashion show, which would attract the world’s most famous models. These include Claudia Schiffer, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bündchen, Tyra Banks, and Candice Swanepoel; the brand is becoming a fixture in popular culture.
After a 14-year run, declining ratings and mounting criticism led to the show cancellation. Its cancellation coincided with the resignation of chief marketing officer Ed Razek. Razek was in charge of model selection. The company also ditched its scantily-dressed Angles last year.
Last year, the company also ditched its revealing Angles in favour of the “VS collective,” a more progressive alternative.
Following a series of controversies, Victoria’s Secret had to change its image and become more inclusive.
Besides, Gerben recently told Forbes that he expects every major brand to become metaverse-ready over the next year. He further adds “I think you’re going to see every brand that you can think of making these filings within the next 12 months”.
Just a few days back, fast-food chain McDonald’s filed their respective application to offer products in the virtual world.
