The Ukrainian IT army made an NFT Collection to support their country in its ongoing war against Russia. While the Ukrainian arm forces repel the attacks in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and other cities, the Ukrainian IT army helps the battle by facilitating crypto donations and creating NFTs and digital wearables.
Their NFT collection entitled “Make-Peace Donations” features the five categories of items that Ukrainian people need most at the moment. The NFTs display food, medical kit, bulletproof vest, drones & thermal imagers.
After the collector buys one of these NFTs, they will transfer the proceeds to a charity fund. Through the help of the smart contract, the same physical object displayed on the bought NFT will be purchased.
All proceeds of the NFTs will help Ukrainians with life-saving measures and medical care. It will also equip the Ukrainian army with the necessary equipment to preserve human lives. Ukrainian charity organizations Come Back Alive and Hospitallers are the recipients of the raised donations.
The non-fungible artworks are already released on the project’s website. You can also see every update of the fundraising process on their Twitter account.
The crypto community has been active and vocal in supporting Ukraine. As of March 11, Ukraine has already received $63.8 million, through more than 120,000 crypto asset donations since the start of the Russian invasion. Just recently, Bored Ape Yacht Club donated $1M of Ether to the Ukraine crypto fund. Ukrainian boxing champion Wladimir Klitschko also launched NFTs for Ukraine.
