In a bid to raise funds for war efforts, Ukraine’s government has launched a website to receive NFT and crypto donations. On top of that, you can also place bids on the listed NFTs on OpenSea. Deemed the UkrainianCryptoFund, there are 295 NFTs in the collection so far.
With the platform endorsed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the community has donated sought-after NFTs such as CryptoPunks and mfer to the website. One of the mfers donated, mfer#3938, has an asking price of 5 ETH on OpenSea.
Ukraine launches a website for NFT and crypto donations
According to the website, all NFT proceeds will go to the non-profit Aid For Ukraine. In particular, the funds will be used to support humanitarian aid programs in Ukraine. If you’re not holding any NFT, you can choose to donate crypto on the website as well.
“All funds as always will contribute to the Ukrainian victory. Ready, steady, NFT,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine in a tweet two days ago.
Other than the donated NFTs, there are 7 more NFT collections that the platform is supporting. These include Metahistory, Ukrainian Spirit, Doge in Ukraine, and more.
As mentioned, Ukraine’s own NFT collection, Metahistory, is available for sale on the website as well. However, the NFT sales didn’t go smoothly like other popular NFT collections. So why not take a look at some of these NFT collections and see if you can contribute to a good cause?
As the war rages on, we have seen people from all over the world coming together to help Ukraine through NFT sales and crypto donations. Last month, 38 NFT artists came together to raise funds for Ukraine. Other than that, Ikonia and The Sandbox helped raise money for the country as well, by launching the Wave for Ukraine NFT collection.
