Twitter Users Clap Back At Farokh For His Ego In The Community

Farokh is the latest NFT influencer to get dragged into the whole Tai Lopez NFT collection drama! The founder of Rug Radio and CEO of Goodlife Media & Communication joked about the utility and benefits of the OG (Original Garage) Social Club by Tai Lopez. Instead of receiving messages of support and perhaps some laughs, Crypto Twitter clapped back at him for his ego.

To set the context of this story, we need to talk about the NFT project of Tai Lopez. The collection gives access to all exclusive Mentor Social Club and claims to provide a lot of benefits. Basically, the NFTs allow you to hang out with him.

Tai Lopez is receiving backlash because there’s a consensus that the price points are too much. For example, 45 ETH to shadow him at his office, 30 ETH to dine with him at a Michelin restaurant and 32 ETH to get his Whatsapp number.

Farokh joined the NFT community in questioning the drop. He asked if anyone wants to pay 15.33 ETH to go clubbing with him or perhaps 12.27 to watch a movie together. This prompted Tai Lopez to reply to his tweet with an old photo of them together. He wrote, “but if you buy my NFT, you can come to another one of my pool parties. Apparently, Farokh attended one of Lopez’s pool parties way back in 2017.

Farokh immediately brushed off the photo. He explained, “I was 21, just landed in LA, got an invite alongside tons of my friends to a party with free booze and food, and I went!” He wrapped up his tweet with another jab claiming that he “didn’t even need to pay 18 ETH to play HORSE.”

It was fine up to this point but his subsequent statements triggered the community’s backlash.

Crypto Twitter Claps Back

Farokh distanced himself from Tai Lopez and reiterated that they are not the same. He said, “I’ve done so much for the space before launching a project, 12 months later, that actually helps the space. The guy comes here, buys an ape, and tries to sell a 42 eth experience to shadow him. We’re not the same.”

Farokh’s statements and claims didn’t sit well with Crypto Twitter. In fact, it even triggered some to point out his own set of issues. @NFTGladiator refuted his claims. He said, “You haven’t done anything for this space other than scam a bunch of people. You teach nothing. Thousands of people are constantly attacking you for a reason every day. Someone good for the space doesn’t get called a scammer every day by so many people. Your time is coming.”

The community also reminded Farokh that he received backlash for dropping 27 baby photos of himself on OpenSea for 0.27 ETH each. Crypto Twitter was livid that he pulled in 63 ETH in tradeable volume by selling baby photos. Artists are especially disappointed that rich and famous individuals like Farokh are making even more money off personal mementos than original NFT art.

Basically, everyone told him to check his privilege. The same message that he is telling Tai Lopez now.
