Tokens.com acquires 50% Decentraland’s virtual real-estate firm.

Tokens.com, the cryptocurrency and blockchain investment firm, has acquired virtual real estate in Decentraland. The company announced the deal in a press release on October 18th. The company wrote that they are “pleased to announce that the Company has closed its purchase of a 50% stake in Metaverse Group.”

Tokens.com is buying up space in the metaverse. In a move that could prove significant in the future, the company is planning for the long term. Surprisingly, the deal with Metaverse Group is worth over $1.6 million. This is the biggest deal ever at present.

Importantly, with this investment into Metaverse Group, they are looking outwards. Although Tokens.com deals in revenue based blockchain and crypto assets linked to DeFi (Decentralized Finance), they are optimistic. Andrew Kiguel, the CEO of Tokens.com, believes that the acquisition is a perfect fit for the company. “Metaverse real estate fits that criteria”, he stated.

Tokens.com have invested in Metaverse Group. Similar to traditional real estate firms, they deal with land. The Group have a massive portfolio of virtual real estate. They deal with property development and managing virtual spaces. Furthermore, the company also owns space in Decentraland, The Sandbox, Upland and others. 

Additionally, they reside in the metaverse. The metaverse is a 3D online world that people can play and work within and importantly, communicate. The headquarters of Metaverse Group is in Crypto Valley, Decentraland. Tokens.com now has valuable insight into this new world.
