The Hundreds x Smilessvrs Partnership teased via their official twitter channels

Smilessvrs posted an ambiguous yet thrilling tweet on Twitter, teasing a collaboration with The Hundreds. This tease has left Twitter on the edge of its seats. This collaboration could shake up contemporary art and streetwear fashion.

Smilesssvrs is an NFT collection. Unlike a lot of collections, all characters are hand-designed by notorious artist Waheed Zai. He has hit headlines previously with his work. Zai took recently released albums and created the cover scene with LEGO, possibly his most famous was his rendition to Frank Ocean’s album Blonde.

He created 8,888 characters, all with a plasticine LEGO feel to them. Zai’s characters can have over 150 handcrafted features with an excess of unique traits. As an NFT collection, Zai has no intention to create a currency or go much further in the crypto/metaverse world, however, he is dedicated to continuing to create diverse modern artwork. Following that, Smilessvrs tease has proved that he is continuing to create.

Familiar with NFTs, it is unsurprising that The Hundred are the ones getting involved. The Hundreds are a popular streetwear brand based in California, distributing their products all over the world. The team at the Hundreds are familiar with collaborations, designing collections with household names such as Hello Kitty and Harry Potter. These collections are based on streetwear staples such as hoodies, jogging bottoms, t-shirts and jackets. Moving away from fashion, The Hundreds seem to have chosen NFTs as the route.

The collaboration between Smilessvrs and The Hundreds could yield some iconic NFTs. With Waheed Zai’s artistic eye and The Hundreds audience and brand, the two could become big dogs in the NFT community.
