Just a few days ago, the Seekers sold out its collection of over 47,000 Seeker NFTs! More than 6,000 people have become holders of this exciting NFT project, which is part of an even larger metaverse ecosystem. Without further ado, let’s talk about the Seekers NFT collection and the Sylo Network they are a part of.
What are the Seekers NFTs?
Firstly, Seekers are 3D-animated robot NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. What’s more, the Seekers are part of a larger collective of NFT projects hoping to build an open metaverse. As such, their job is to power trade and communication across this open metaverse.
To clarify, Seekers are part of the FLUF World ecosystem. In fact, we previously wrote about FLUF World and its role in the Seekers NFT project. To sum up, FLUF World, Altered State Machine, and the Sylo Network teamed up for this NFT collection.
The Seekers NFT mint went live on Sunday, March 27th, and sold out the very same day. Minters paid 0.10101 ETH unless they were on the whitelist. In that case, the price for a beacon NFT was 0.09 ETH. To explain, the beacon NFTs will change into Seekers NFTs a few weeks after the mint. The floor price of the collection at the time of writing is 0.119 ETH.
Notably, there was a possible 50,000 beacon NFTs available at mint. However, at the same time as the mint started, some of the “Seekers in the wild” started getting captured. This is why the final collection number comes in at 47,895.
Seekers NFTs are fully metaverse-ready, meaning that they can be used as avatars and PFPs. Owners are also able to customize their Seekers with unique attachments, arms, backpacks, propulsion systems, and accessories. Not only that but there are over a billion possible combinations. In other words, each Seeker NFT is one of a kind. In addition, Seekers NFT holders will be able to take part in the creation of future bot NFTs.
And that’s not the only utility of the Seekers!
So what is Sylo and how do the Seekers fit into it?
Seekers NFTs are actually an important factor when it comes to the Sylo network. In essence, the Seekers NFTs are a way to enable community-run communication in this open metaverse. Indeed, Sylo sees this as a vital aspect of building a decentralized metaverse.
The Sylo network is a decentralized protocol for communication. The network already processes video, text, voice, payments, and other application data on its network daily.
As with all blockchains, the Sylo Network runs thanks to a network of nodes. These community-operated computers are spread out across the world and relay the data on the network. Blockchains must of course pay node operators for their services and Sylo is no different. As a result, node operators receive rewards in the form of SYLO – the network’s native token.
This is where the Seeker NFTs come in. Seekers are a digital representation of Sylo nodes. As a matter of fact, anyone who wishes to run a Sylo node must own a Seeker NFT. With that said, owning a Seeker doesn’t mean you have to run a node.
All in all, the Seekers are a fun and unique way of getting people to contribute to holding up a blockchain. Perhaps we’ll even see more decentralized networks following a similar lead in the future.
