The NBA’s San Antonio Spurs are commemorating their head coach, Gregg Popovich, becoming the all-time winningest NBA coach. They’re doing this by releasing an NFT collection in partnership with Cultos. The collection size is 1,336, to mark each of his wins.

The San Antonio Spurs NFTs will launch on March 14th (tomorrow) at 9 AM CT, until March 17th at 9 PM CT, on Opensea. There are 1,331 NFTs for sale that features a random combination of hand-drawn plays and court combinations. Interestingly, the other 5 will be 1/1 NFTs, that commemorate Popovich’s 5 NBA titles. These winners of the 1/1 auctions will also get a physical play card signed by the Spurs head coach. As well as a unique VIP experience next season, including courtside seats.
While the 5 1/1s will go for sale via auction, the remaining 1,331 NFTs will go for sale for 0.1 ETH on the Opensea platform. Therefore, users will have to buy the NFTs through Ethereum, instead of credit cards that we’ve seen from other mainstream collections.
This collection is similar to Stephen Curry’s recent collection titled ‘2974sc’, which was released in December after Curry set the NBA record for all-time 3-pointers.
You can find out more information on the NFTs, including previews, on their preview YouTube video on the Spurs NFT website.
