Pepsi partnered with American singer and songwriter Mary J. Blige to be co-presenters of the inaugural “Strength of a Woman” Festival & Summit. They organized various activities in support of female artists, musicians, creatives, entrepreneurs and more in Atlanta. One of the highlights of the weekend was the free POAP NFTs given exclusively to the summit attendees.
What went down this weekend? ft. Pepsi
Firstly, the opening night performance featured a Gen Z Concert in the Tabernacle of Atlanta. The event highlights Pepsi Music Lab finalist StarchildKayla, which debuted her new original track, Up!.
Then, celebrity chef Carla Hall kicks off Pepsi Dig In’s new restaurant royalty program. This initiative primarily celebrates black-owned restaurants, where the community can nominate their favorite eateries to join this list. During the event, Carla Hall moderated a panel of Black female-owned restaurants, discussing the current issues surrounding the food industry.
In addition, Pepsi Stronger Together donated $20,000 to revive the City of Refuge, supporting women in need. This donation will go directly to provide essential professional and everyday clothing, and also personal care items. City of Refuge is an organization that provides services to families and individuals in crisis. They help their female residents get back on their feet, and support the donation-based closet program.
Finally, Pepsi worked with some of the best female Web3 artists in the market to give out free Proof of Attendance Protocols (POAPs) NFTs. The NFTs were on display throughout the event, and all the summit attendees received one.
All in all, the event was a huge success. Pepsi continues to use their influence on the global stage and their rich heritage in music and entertainment to impact change.
