There’s a new conspiracy about the RTFKT x NIKE MNLTH AirDrop. This one comes from artist, filmmaker, and creative director RickZ.eth (@ReadyPlayerNeo) on Twitter.
A Conspiracy About What’s Inside the RTFKT X NIKE MNLTH
Last year, Nike acquired the virtual collectibles studio RTFKT. Then, just recently, the famous lifestyle brand airdropped a “MNLTH” on current Clone X holders alongside PodX virtual spaces.
The object has a dark metallic finish with etched geometric patterns. Moreover, you can see glowing Nike and RTFKT logo cutouts on the laterals of the object’s exteriors. What’s inside the boxes is a mystery. “Like this post if you’re confused,” RTFKT commented on its own post.
The enigma of the MNLTH led to the curiosity of those in the NFT community, with others coming up with a theory more convincing than the others. RickZ.eth shared his own take on what the object possibly contains.
In a long Twitter thread, he likened the MNLTH to the Monolith used in the 2001: Space Odyssey movie. The monolith in the film is a self-replicating machine that can be connected to the RTFKT Clones. Since a clone literally means a copy of something else or a replica.
The theory suggests the machine inside the MNLTH will periodically generate items and components needed to create the next generation of clones.
In addition, the post also said that the object will also be the RTFKT way to introduce the $DRIP token. The MNLTH will probably “generate $DRIP and if you own a pod or a clone, there would be a multiplier on how fast you generate new $DRIP.”
Lastly, the theory ends with the MNLTH having more items to advance the Clones. This could mean clothing and sneakers in a new, modular way that you can create for your clones and also for yourself.
Basically, in this conspiracy theory, the MNLTH are machines that create new RTFKT clones and generate $DRIP token and items for your clone and IRL.
RickZ.eth added that the dimensions of the Monolith in the movie are all at a ratio of 1:4:9 hinting April 9th could be the reveal date of the MNLTH.
So what do you think? Do you believe this theory? I guess we can only wait to find out.
