Minting NFTs on Immutable X is Now Seamless and Permissionless!

High-speed and low-cost protocol Immutable X unveiled that minting NFTs on the platform is now seamless and permissionless! With this major roll-out, users can now mint NFTs without contacting the team or using a signup form first.

Immutable X L2 protocol offers gasless trading and minting with a thousand-fold scalability advantage over Ethereum. The best part is that it remains tethered and interoperable with it. This is why they have pulled in a string of major future heavy hitters of the NFT world like VeVe and PlanetQuest.

Immutable X’s New Minting NFTs Process

The team is confident that this is a pivotal milestone to their long-term commitment to building a permissionless world-class developer experience. They also teased fans and users that the next phase is to “unlock the ability to recrawl metadata on-demand.”

The basic service is deploying a smart contract. To test your assets, minting, and trading flows, you need to deploy an ERC-721 contract on the Ropsten test network. Then, register it with Immutable X. Similarly, to mint on mainnet Ethereum, you need to deploy an ERC-721 contract on mainnet. Then, follow the same steps.

Meanwhile, to create a collection of NFTs, you must first register a project as the collection’s creator. The team set up the necessary bells and whistles to prevent fraudsters from listing meaningless and scam projects. For example,  all projects are limited to five collections and 50,000 mint requests in a four-week period.
