One of Hollywoods biggest and most loved stars, Keanu Reeves has totally downplayed the metaverse and laughed at the concept of NFTs through a video that’s making its way across Twitter and YouTube.

As part of an interview with the Verge, Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss discussed the Matrix interactive experience that’s being released as a part of the new Matrix film.
When the concepts of NFTs and the metaverse came up, Keanu Reeves and his co-star just burst out laughing.
He continued to say the content is: “easily reproduced”.
“The Matrix” actor also agreed with the concept of being able to meet with a friend across the world in a metaverse casino to be cool despite his general thoughts on metaverse and NFTs.
His ideas changed when he funnily questioned if he and Moss got a cut of the earnings.
However, despite these comments, Reeves isn’t unfamiliar with blockchain and crypto technologies. He said that he owns some crypto that a friend bought him, but is holding for the long-term. He doesn’t plan to sell or actively trade anything yet.

About Keanu Reeves
Keanu Reeves is a Canadian actor who was in fact born in Beirut, Lebanon and raised in Toronto, Canada. Reeves began his acting career through theatre and TV productions before his feature film debut in Youngblood (1986).
His breakout came from the comedy film, Bill & Ted in which he starred alongside Alex Winter. The first film was released in 1989, with subsequent sequels following.
In between a long list of films, many of which were successful, his role in The Matrix playing Neo particularly stands out. The first film was released in 1999, with sequels coming in 2003 (x2) and now 2021 with The Matrix Resurrections.
Now, he is classed as one of the largest and most loved Hollywood actors right now. His work appeals to a wide range of demographics and markets. From Toy Story to John Wick he has been in several genres of films.
