Get Protocol, the leading solution for NFT ticketing, has announced that it is teaming up with Immutable X to create a secondary marketplace for NFT tickets. Not only will this marketplace be fully on-chain, but it will also include a Fiat onramp to help onboard users into Web3.
Everything to know about the NFT ticket marketplace from Immutable X & Get Protocol
At this point, Immutable X needs no introduction. The platform has cemented itself as the go-to Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum, resulting in a $2.5 billion valuation. Indeed, it has been the L2 partner of choice for many Web3 companies. This includes VeVe, Rarible, and Gamestop to name a few.
On the other hand, Get Protocol has become an early leader among platforms providing NFT ticketing. As a matter of fact, Get Protocol has sold nearly 2 million tickets on-chain up to this point.
Founded in 2016, Get Protocol has since provided NFT ticketing for such names as Gucci Mane, Lewis Capaldi, and UB40. In essence, GET Protocol aims to become the global data standard for ‘NFT proof to anything access.’ Thus, given Immutable X’s track record of building successful marketplaces, Get Protocol now looks to build a global secondary market for NFT tickets.
While there isn’t a launch date as of yet, Get Protocol and Immutable X have already begun the development process. Immutable X CEO Robbie Ferguson spoke on what the companies hope to achieve through the new collaboration.
“We’re on a mission with GET Protocol to bring unparalleled transparency, security, and liquidity to the global ticketing industry for everyone… All ticket holders will soon be able to mint and trade NFTs with incredible speed and without gas fee limitations on the world’s leading open-sourced blockchain, Ethereum.”
All things considered, this major partnership is sure to be a revelation in the field of NFT ticketing. NFTs are already in use as tickets for Web3 conferences and even flights. It seems like just a matter of time before NFT tickets become commonplace in all industries.
