Blockchain ecosystem, FoodChain Global (FCG) has launched FOOD token to bring transparency to charitable donations. The organisation aims to fight the world’s hunger problem through NFTs, P2E games, exclusive merchandise, and more. The FOOD token, launched on crypto trading platform HotBit, is the latest effort in its mission. Furthermore, the organisation will donate 30% of the proceeds to help combat world hunger.
FoodChain Global’s efforts to tackle world hunger
FoodChain Global was founded out of a need for innovative organizational solutions to fight hunger. It aims to “take the lead as the global trendsetting innovative charity brand”. Besides, its motto is “make it make sense”.
“In order to tackle the global food crisis we want to engage millennials, who are already embedded in the blockchain world, with custom FoodChain Global NFTs and P2E games to speak to this age group as traditional charities do not,” said Shawn Kurz, founder of FoodChain Global.
The organisation launched the FOOD token to ensure that charitable donations go to the right place. In other words, thanks to blockchain technology, FCG can provide a public record of all financial transactions via its proof-of-work page. In addition, the token offers a sustainable purpose—unlike meme coins, FOOD token claims to help solve a real-world issue. As the full FCG ecosystem includes NFTs, P2E games, staking, and merchandise, there is also long-term sustainability.
The FOOD token is based on the Polygon blockchain to ensure low transaction fees. Besides, to promote staking, FoodChain Global offers interest rates between 12% and 20%. Before launching the token, the organisation completed several charitable events with local food banks.
