What NRG wants to achieve is to bring gaming cryptocurrency into the hands, hearts, and minds of millions of gamers worldwide. So Enjin fits the bill because it is a blockchain specifically targeting game developers.
Basically, NRG eSports will help evangelize Enjin to millions of their fans. So the partnership covers spreading brand awareness, educating them about the gaming cryptocurrency and introducing fans to the Enjin Wallet. A 360 approach, so to say.
The eSports organization will utilize the Enjin platform to create custom NRG-branded tokens. They plan to distribute the tokens to fans as engagement rewards then safely store them in a private Enjin wallet. In terms of utility, token holders can use their tokens to enter into raffles, access to matches and IRL experience. That’s just the tip of the iceberg because massive online and eSports event promotions from the partners are also underway.
NRG is actually the first official esports organization partner of Enjin. Enjin’s CEO Maxim Blagov shared, “We have been exploring the eSports market for some time now and have been waiting for the perfect partner.” He added that NRG stood out because of its incredible success and rapid growth since its founding. In addition, it also has a meticulous focus on strategy and innovation.

Andy Miller and Mark Mastrov, co-owners of the Sacramento Kings NBA team, founded the NRG Esports Organization. It counts legendary pro athletes Shaquille O’Neal and Alex Rodriguez, actress Jennifer Lopez and MLB player Jimmy Rollins among its key investors and advisors. It has rosters in major games like Fortnite, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch, Smite, Hearthstone, For Honor, Rocket League and Vainglory.
