Cricket superstar Rohit Sharma is joining the NFT space with an exclusive collection on FanCraze. The announcement came via the parent company of FanCraze, Faze Technologies. The cricketer confirmed he is onboard with the NFT era and looking forward to the possibilities ahead.
Sharma, also known as “the hitman”, will work closely with FanCraze to celebrate his iconic career. He said, “I am looking forward to sharing some of the best moments of my career with my fans.
“The team at FanCraze is building the next generation of consumer experiences, and I cannot wait to check out the super-cool HitMan NFTs and 2D/3D avatars that they will be dropping in the months ahead,” the cricketer stated.
Furthermore, there are suggestions that some physical memorabilia will be up for grabs in the Rohit Sharma NFT collection. There could be some of the batsman’s bats from his record-breaking plays. It could also have the ICC Golden Bat he won at the 2019 ICC World Cup and balls used in some of his greatest matches.
Additionally, The Mumbai Indians team will appear in the collection.
Commenting on the Rohit Sharma NFT collection, FanCraze CEO Anshum Bhambri said, “We view marquee athletes as artists who create their best moments of art on the field of play.”
Finally, this is not the only Cricket related NFT collection we will see from FanCraze. The company recently signed a three year deal with the International Cricket Council (ICC). This will give them the rights to its entire video and audio catalogue, dating back to 1975.
