Hold on to your nostalgia because the Care Bears are coming to web3 courtesy of the Care Bears Forever NFTs! The beloved kids’ franchise will launch its Care Bears Forever NFTs on Recur on August 4th, 2022.
All about the Care Bears Forever NFTs on Recur
Care Bears Forever is a joint effort from Cloudco Entertainment and the NFT platform Recur. Significantly, this is far from Recur’s first foray into nostalgic NFTs. After all, the platform is also partnering with Nickelodeon on an upcoming NFT drop.
The NFT collection will include 10,000 PFPs based on the original 10 Care Bears. For those not up on their Care Bear knowledge, this will include: Cheer Bear, Grumpy Bear, Funshine Bear, Good Luck Bear, Love-a-Lot Bear, Bedtime Bear, Best Friend Bear, Tenderheart Bear, Birthday Bear, and Wish Bear. Thus, these brand new NFTs will encapsulate everything that people have loved about Care Bears for 40 years. Not to mention that the NFT collection will introduce never-bef0re-seen Care Bears.
Beyond bringing the Care Bears to web3, the NFT collection will also be the entry point into Care Bears Forever gameplay. To explain, NFT holders will have the opportunity to engage in community-focused gameplay. As a result, they will be able to win rewards in the form of mystery prizes.
To play, holders will submit their original Care Bear PFP into a community challenge in order to boost the Sharing Meter. For this, they will receive a locked Mystery Chest NFT. The mystery chest will only reveal its contents once a set number of holders have entered the challenge. In addition, holders can only earn Mystery Chests through Sharing Meter challenges, or by buying one from another holder on the marketplace.
Care Bears forever will launch on Recur on August 4th, 2022. So be sure to check out the website for more info and updates.
