ThankYouX will be featured at the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art in Charlotte, NC, for their latest exhibition ‘Pop to Now: Warhol and his Legacy’. The exhibition is set to run from September 10th of this year, until January 2nd of next year.
The ‘Pop to Now’ Exhibition Featuring ThankYouX
‘Pop to Now: Warhol and his Legacy’ is set to feature art from ThankYouX. Alongside him, work from classic artists like Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring. As well as this, there are more contemporary artists who will feature ThankYouX, Kirsten McIver and Hees.
Notably, the exhibition is been created in partnership with AKTION ART. It is a cultural exhibition of the landmark pop artists of the century, paying homage to the innovative creatives who’ve inspired billions, shattered ceilings and created iconic moments.
The ‘Pop to Now’ exhibition will be the first museum exhibition to feature ThankYouX’s work.
About ThankYouX
To clarify, ThankYouX is an innovative artist who began his journey on the streets of Los Angeles paying spray-painted stencil tributes to Andy Warhol. Particularly, he’s known for art that converges with the physical and the digital. ThankYouX has collaborated with top brands including Snapchat, Samsung, and Adidas. He has amassed a large following, including his remarkably loyal Twitter audience.
The American artist, whose real name is Ryan Wilson initially gained fame in 2009 through his graffitied tributes to Andy Warhol all over Los Angeles.
Currently, a lot of his work is in NFTs. He is often engaging in the NFT community on Twitter, particularly with his 47,000+ followers. A lot of his work has been featured on Nifty Gateway.
Recently, the teenage NFT art phenomenon, FEWOCiOUS, who is friends with ThankYouX, simply Tweeted: “@ThankYouX ily.”
The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art
Founded in 2010, The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art is a museum in Charlotte, North Carolina. Specifically, it is dedicated to the exhibition of mid-20th century modern. The modern art museum is part of the new Levine Center for the Arts in Uptown.
The museum is named after the family of Andreas Bechtler. He was a Charlotte resident and native of Switzerland who assembled and inherited a collection of more than 1,400 artworks created by major figures of 20th-century modernism.

The exhibition is made possible thanks to a partnership with AKTION ART. ThankYouX was first introduced to Palm Beach and art world power gallery Aktion Art via the Museum of Arts and Design. His work was featured at the Museum of Arts and Designs annual MAD Ball, hosted by Aktion Art in October 2020.
Since then, Aktion Art has continued to represent ThankYouX’s physical canvases in a number of high-profile activations, sales, and exhibits. Their flagship gallery is located on Worth Avenue, Palm Beach. This is where they first exhibited ThankYouX alongside museum-quality works by Andy Warhol and JM Basquiat in 2021.
