BAYC’s Floor Price hits 70ETH with Cryptopunks trailing behind!

The Bored Ape Yacht Club broke its own record on the 2nd of January. Currently, the floor price of BAYC is 70 ETH. The “floor price” in an NFT market is the lowest price of any NFT within a certain category.

Not so surprisingly, the NFT community is quite certain that this floor price will reach 100 ETH soon.

BAYC: Let’s recap

The BAYC is one of the most successful collections in the NFT market. Bored Ape Yacht was launched in late April by a team of four developers. The whole 10,000 apes were sold out within 12 hours of its release at a price of 0.08 ETH.

Since then, BAYC has covered a remarkable journey. From collaborating with major brands such as Adidas, PrettyLittleThing, to developing their own P2E blockchain game with Animoca, this collection has done it all.

In fact, a few days before Christmas, BAYC’s floor price rose to 53.9 ETH, flipping CryptoPunk’s floor price of 52.69 ETH. Additionally, the BAYC social club includes several celebrities. Check out the list here.

Moreover, owning Bored Ape NFT gives you full commercial rights to it. The holders are using this to their advantage in a variety of ways. Interestingly, one Bored Ape owner gave his ape a Twitter account with a backstory, transforming him into Jenkins, a valet at the Yacht Club. Jenkins was signed to a real-world agency in September. That’s not it; he’ll be the subject of his own biography, which will be written in part by New York Times bestselling author Neil Strauss.

As the floor price grows, it will be interesting to see how the Bored Ape Yacht Club develops.
