The do-it-yourself augmented reality platform Overly announced its OpenSea integration. Furthermore, NFT creators and owners can now interact with their digital tokens in real life using Overly.
OpenSea Compatible Augmented Reality Platform – Overly
Overly is a no-code AR creation platform, offering creators and owners a no-string attached visualization opportunity. Moreover, creators can launch their NFTs directly from the OpenSea NFT marketplace with Overly’s augmented reality platform.
Unlike other augmented reality platforms, Overly has skipped on launching a trading platform. Instead, it aims at easing the AR experience creation using OpenSea integration, making it a quick copy-paste job.
Meanwhile, Overly users can add NFTs to AR by copying a hyperlink to their digital assets within Overly’s 3D editor. As a result, the system pulls the NFT metadata for visualizing it directly from the hosting platform.
Similarly, users can also manually upload the file to the Overly AR creation tool to visualize NFTs from other platforms. Currently, the Overly creator supports OpenSea NFTs in 3D formats like GLTF, GLB, and FBX. Further, it also supports 2D assets, including JPG, PNG, and MP4.
In addition, Overly also has plans to connect the augmented reality platform to multiple other NFT marketplaces apart from OpenSea. Also, the Overly team is coming up with a WebAR functionality to enable markerless object visualization.
“So far, people could create, purchase and view AR NFTs through a specialist provider or not at all,” said Overly CTO Gatis Zvejnieks. “People who buy 2D content on OpenSea may purchase a 3D object the next day. Just because an NFT wasn’t minted on an AR-powered platform doesn’t mean people can’t bring it to their environment through augmented reality.”
