BAYC has attracted a long list of celebrities, athletes, musicians — practically everything in between — but a literal SuperYacht Owner aping in just the kind of surprise the NFT Community needs!

SuperYacht Owner Boarding the BAYC train!
User @SuperyachtApe just created a Twitter account this December and his first order of business is to make friends with fellow BAYC holders. He tweeted, “Owning a superyacht didn’t get me into the yacht club. Let’s hope this bored ape lets me into the club.”
True to form, the real-life SuperYacht owner’s Bored Ape is wearing a seaman’s hat. Only 4% of the total supply of 10,000 NFTs possess, making it a rare trait. In addition, BAYC #1285 has angry eyes and blue fur with 4% and 5% rarity levels, respectively. As of press time, the NFT has an oped bid of 52.31 ETH or almost $204,000 on OpenSea.
Aside from new friends, it looks like @SuperyachtApe is looking for the next owner of his luxurious pleasure vessel. The 52m Italian Superyacht with Helipad and Skydeck Jacuzzi is up for sale for a whopping 8.9 Million Euros or around $10 Million.
According to the listing, the SuperYacht named “Vianne” has a steel hull and aluminum superstructure built to ABS classification. Basically, this means that its exterior design and refreshed interiors are up to date.
Reception So Far
Just as @SuperyachtApe hoped, BAYC NFT holders welcomed him with open arms. User @feld4014 even started a friendly banter, “Ok, your yacht is super dope. So my next question is, when can we take it out, where is it docked, and how much do you need to cover expenses?”
It looks like a meet-up is underway because @SuperyachtApe tweeted back, “Let’s chat! She’s in the Caribbean now, island hopping. It depends on what type of gathering, e.g., 5 days at dock for Monaco Grand Prix or apes hanging out along coasts of St Barts. Let’s bring yachting to #bayc!!”
BAYC has always stood out because of its community. Building an engaged community came quite naturally for the Bored Ape Yacht Club. After all, the first utility they introduced is the graffiti wall. The concept is very straightforward and it matches the vibe of the series. Basically, if you own an Ape in your crypto wallet, you can gain access to a private “bathroom” that allows you to put graffiti on the wall. Profanities and NSFW doodles aside, this perk allowed the community to collaborate in a cool way.
The interaction between @SuperyachtApe and existing NFT holders just proves that the community is as dynamic and positive as ever. This is one of the driving forces of BAYC’s growth from a Collectible into a franchise. In fact, a few days before Christmas, BAYC’s floor price rose to 53.9 ETH, flipping CryptoPunk’s floor price of 52.69 ETH.
