Alien Frens, the 10,000 strong randomly created NFTs who exist on the Ethereum blockchain. They would like to build the biggest group of Frens in the Metaverse. Their price is an accessible 0.02ETH. This would get you a unique NFT and tickets to IRL events, Invasions, A 30-page comic book and much more. They use the $FRENS token as their currency.
In the early hours of the 3rd of January, Alien Frens started sending out a worrying tweet. ‘DISCORD HACKED. DO NOT ENTER’. Importantly, this was not the first hacking event of the day. Little Lemon Friends also announced their Discord was hacked. Mason, who is the creator of Alien Frens along with two business partners (who organise the marketing and development) was directing tweets from their Twitter page.
Mason stated that ETH wallets were not compromised, only transferred to the scammer’s wallet. They explained that users don’t need to transfer their assets. Discord then went under major security improvements. The team created a sign-up sheet to verify everyone scammed. Alien Frens said they will give back the $204,000 stolen and come back stronger than ever.
After approximately 14 hours of breached Discord, finally, Alien Frens announced Discord is back up and running. Being the positive bunch they are, the team seemed light-hearted and grateful to have improved their security. Stating, nothing can stop the Frens, Mason and the team found a way to bypass the hackers.
