The Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne announces his ‘CryptoBatz’ NFT collection

Ozzy Osbourne recently revealed his very own NFT collection ‘CryptoBatz’ that commemorates the infamous 1982 performance in Des Moines, Iowa, during which the controversial singer bit the head off a bat.

A CryptoBatz pre-sale is now open through the project’s Discord channel, with the sale taking place in January 2022, according to Rolling Stone.

9.666 unique ‘CryptoBatz’ NFTs

Ozzy’s upcoming collection featuring 9.666 unique NFTs created by the heavy metal icon himself will be available to purchase next month.

“CryptoBatz is a fucking mental project for NFT collectors and fans. The design pays tribute to one of my most iconic onstage moments and is a chance to acquire a rare piece of art history. I love it,” added the heavy metal icon, excited about the release of his NFTs which have the power to alter NFTs from other collections.

Each of the 9.666 NFTs will enable collectors to mint an additional NFT by activating a CryptoBatz feature to “bite” and mutate with another NFT from their digital wallet.

Dubbed ‘MutantBatz’–these new NFTs will combine the attributes of both projects. 

Thus far, Bored Ape Yacht Club, SupDucks, Cryptotoadz, and a fourth mysterious NFT project all teamed up for the combination feature.

AncientBatz 

“I’ve been trying to get in on the NFT action for a while so when I asked Sharon for a Bored Ape for Christmas after several failed attempts of buying my own, and she said no, I decided to create my own,” said Ozzy.

In addition to the collection, Ozzy also revealed his plans to launch ‘AncientBatz’–a treasure hunt for CryptoBatz holders, with virtual Batz distributed around the globe in hidden locations.

Each of the AncientBatz will be able to bite up to 100 NFTs and breed 100 MutantBatz.
