A Twitter user has recently expressed her displeasure regarding the existence of numerous secret Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) chats. According to her Twitter profile, @NotKatarina is in fact a BAYC NFT owner. The Twitter user is allegedly a member of many such secret chat groups.
As a consequence, she needs to repeatedly post the same content every time she has something to share. The tweet has since sparked many comments from both BAYC owners and non-owners.
Secret BAYC Chats
Most of the comments were ranting that they do not know of such groups and their eagerness to get an invite. However, there were several BAYC owners that were not aware of such posh communities as well. One of the comments mentioned that apparently, owning a Bored Ape is not exclusive enough these days.
As the comments continued to pile on, the Twitterer quickly realized that there are many other secret chats that she is not a member of. Since they are so elusive, who knows how many chats actually exist.
As seductive as these secret BAYC chats may be, it is worth noting that NFT scammers are on the rise and are pouncing on every opportunity they get. Secret chats create a community atmosphere that can easily catch investors off guard. Evidently, DM scams such as the Monkey Kingdom scam and common Discord scams are rampant these days. On that account, remember to stay alert if you are ever invited to one of these secret societies.
