The hugely successful DozerBird NFT game has finally arrived on the Google Play store in Japan. The title originally landed on the PlayDapp blockchain gaming platform, where it became the second most popular non-fungible game.
For those who’ve never encountered DozerBird, it quickly became a huge hit after appearing on the Ethereum network in 2019. Utilising the LINE blockchain, it rose to first and second place for sales in the Ethereum Dapp Game category. PlayDapp’s other major hit, CryptoDozer, was also a success, with the two benefiting from NFT item linkage, a key reason many believe they found widespread favour.
What is Item Linkage?
When it comes to NFT games item linkage is effectively a way to take assets and other aspects of one title and make them usable in another. For DozerBird and CryptoDozer, an example of this is the latter’s DozerDolls, which are playable characters in the former. Special abilities for the characters are found throughout DozerBird, and players need these to collect key fragments. In turn, key fragments open boxes back in CryptoDozer.
DozerBird NFT Game and LINE Blockchain
You may be wondering why DozerBird has opted to use LINE blockchain. Well, for one thing this platform offers impressive speeds and reduced gas fees compared with many other options. This means less output when generating an NFT, which is better for everyone.
Never seen DozerBird in action? No worries, we can shed some light on exactly what the title is all about. Players are tasked with collecting items and avoiding obstacles using very simple — and therefore easy to pick up — touch controls. They must also try to fly as far as possible, beating their own personal bests. As per the official tagline, “DozerBird is a blockchain skill game, testing your tapping & timing.”
