What is F1 Delta Time?
F1® Delta Time is a blockchain game officially licensed by Formula 1®. It is one among the many games developed by Hong Kong-based Animoca Brands.
In the game, players can collect virtual cars along with car parts and drivers, all of which are NFTs. The players can also use, trade, or sell these assets. Competitive gaming is one of the main elements of the game. For this, each car comes with unique characteristics such as top speed, grip, and acceleration, among others.
Additionally, the game features different racing game modes, including Time Trial and Grand Prix™ mode. It offers players tracks from the official F1® season, which they can use to play from their browser.
One of the most popular features of the game is the ability to stake car NFTs to earn REVV tokens. REVV is the exclusive token of various motorsports games released by Animoca Brands. This includes MotoGP and The Sandbox. Recently, Animoca had announced free REVV Racing Car NFTs for MotoGP NFT holders.
More on Grand Prix event
In this dry weather Grand Prix™, players will compete in seven different Formula 1® Grand Prix Events. Thid includes Formula 1® Pirelli British Grand Prix™, Formula 1® Circuit de Monaco, Formula 1® Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, and Formula 1® Autodromo Nazionale Monza. Formula 1® Shanghai International Circuit, Formula 1® Bahrain Grand Prix™, and Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix™ are the remaining events.
While players can participate in every tier and track, the REVV prize pool they receive will depend on the points they acquire in all seven tracks. This means that the players have a total of seven leaderboards to race in.
The REVV prizes will be based on the player’s final ranking on the weekly leaderboards for each track. Each rank gives players a set of points. For instance, while the player at first position scores 25 points, the one at the second position scores 22.
At the end of the event, the points from all seven leaderboards for a given Tier will be tallied for the REVV pool. Similarly, the Key prizes are also based on the combined points across all seven tracks.
The prizes for the Grand Prix™ Mode event includes 12 REVV Trophies, F1® Delta Time 2020 Keys, and NFTs. Additionally, it offers 60,000 REVV tokens per season. Meanwhile, 12 Time Trial Trophies, 20,000 REVV tokens per season, and F1® Delta Time 2020 Keys are the rewards for the Time Trial event.
