What is the Thunderbirds: International Rescue Club NFT drop about?
Much as its name suggests, this collection of 1,000 digital assets was inspired by the ’60s TV series “Thunderbirds”. Each NFT comes is in basically an NFT Pass you can use to join the project’s community: the International Rescue Club.
The founding team has already sold out its first batch of 500 NFTs. However, the most active community members can receive one of the 500 remaining collectibles for free! Collectors can get to mint their NFT Pass by joining Twitter and Discord channels.
In terms of design, the 3D avatars resemble the main characters of the show. Each collectible will also be available as an avatar in the Sandbox, much to collectors’ delight.

Firstly, each Thunderbirds NFT Pass can become a 3D full-body avatar. There are 6 rarities available, each featuring unique traits: Zombie, Ape, Cyborg, Gold, Metalight, and Standard. Starting this month, these collectibles are ready to take you on an unforgettable adventure in The Sandbox!
Surprisingly, NFT holders will also be able to attend real-life “Rescue Missions”. To clarify, community members can decide where the project’s DAO funds will go, such as charities.
In the future, fans will also have the chance to collect digital artworks of iconic places, vehicles, and more characters from Thunderbirds. All in all, the project’s community members are in for an unforgettable ride inspired by a truly iconic sci-fi TV series.
What is Thunderbirds?
Thunderbirds is a science-fiction TV series animated via computer programming. Launched in 2015, it is in fact a remake of the 1964 series “Thunderbirds”.
The show tells the story of a rescue group created by a family who lives on a secret island. The year is 2060 and their missions will take you underwater, in the air, and on new lands. The main vehicles they use in their missions are called Thunderbirds, hence the show’s name.
