DeGods has a great start of the fall season by selling its NFT #270 for over $220,000. The record-breaking sale confirms the Solana project’s roaring success among NFT collectors thanks to its unique art and utility.
Is DeGods #270 Solana’s most expensive NFT sale?
Less than 24 hours ago, a rare DeGods NFT sold for 139,5127 ETH – or about $220,000. Part of the reason for its shocking price is undoubtedly the two-piece outfit:
- Mythic Helmet (only 0.23% of other items from the collection share the trait);
- Mythic War (0.48% of collectibles share the trait).
In addition, the digital asset is sporting Leopard Skin and a Red Background. Together, the traits create a perfect match – so good that somebody decided to pay over $220k for it.
The surprising sale sends the DeGods NFT collection to the top of the ecosystem. In fact, this is one of the most expensive Solana collectibles ever sold. Recently, the project has been likened to Doodles and even Azuki, and for good reason.
What’s all the hype about DeGods?
Basically, DeGods is an NFT PFP (Profile Picture) style collection of 10,000 avatars. The project, built on the Solana blockchain, launched in October 2021. Its unique artwork and utility quickly skyrocketed the collection to popularity.
For example, each DeGods NFT holder earns 15 $DUST per day – the project’s native currency. To clarify, community members can use these tokens for raffles, whitelist access, auctions, and other exciting perks.
As a community-centered project, DeGods now aims to expand its ecosystem. One of its most recent endeavors is y00ts, a new PFP collection of 15K digital avatars. The first sneak peeks of the project received positive feedback – even Gary Vee applied to join the whitelist!
