The game development and R&D studio Laguna Games has just announced it will expand its Crypto Unicorns franchise with four new mobile titles for iOS and Android. The new mobile titles are set to combine casual mobile gaming with the popular characters from Crypto Unicorns.
What we know so far about these unicorn-themed mobile games
Players can expect four new mini-games to be released later this year. Unigatchi is a Crypto Unicorns take on the popular virtual pet game, Tamagotchi. Like Tamagotchi, the goal of each player is to keep their unicorn happy and healthy.
Bumper Corns is a multiplayer game where the player has to bump other unicorns off the land to win. Mob Run is another multiplayer game where players compete to accumulate the largest mob of unicorns. Finally, Rainbow Rumble is a winner takes all battle royale-style game.
“We are working with an incredible group of global developers to build generational IP together on Crypto Unicorns,” said Laguna Games CEO, Aron Beierschmitt. “The hyper-casual gaming market is a huge untapped opportunity that we are very excited to begin pursuing. We look forward to bringing our collectibles to mobile devices around the world by the end of next year.”
About Crypto Unicorns
Since its launch earlier this year, Crypto Unicorns has proven to be a massive success. Players have collected 2,200 ETH worth of land and pet collectibles. Additionally, the game has been named the “Top Project on Polygon.” Crypto Unicorns is a very attractive game for non-web3 natives, as players do not need crypto or NFTs to enjoy the full experience. Undoubtedly, these mobile games will mark the first wave of hybrid, casual blockchain games to arrive on mobile devices.
