Hollywood actor and comedian Jim Carrey has just debuted his latest NFT on SuperRare. The actor, who is also an artist, announced his newest creation via Twitter. The multimedia piece, titled “Goon In The Moonlight,” follows “Sunshower,” his previous one-of-one on SuperRare, which sold for 62.04 ETH.
About Jim Carrey’s Goon In The Moonlight NFT
According to Jim Carrey, “Goon In The Moonlight” is about “the unavoidable romance of moonlight.” He continues, “the Goon is doomed to recoil from memories of lost loves and the agony of regret that can transform any one of us into something loathsome in our own mind.” The 48-hour auction started on Tuesday at 3 pm EST and is due to end tomorrow.
Jim Carrey’s latest artistic offering is dark in tone. The artwork depicts a creature shunning the moonlight, while the artist recites a poem about lost love and solitude. Additionally, Big Head Club co-produced the digital animation, which also features the vocals of Carrey’s daughter Jane.
His previous NFT, “Sunshower”, was created in collaboration with filmmaker David Bushell. Created using acrylic paint tubes, it was also available as a digital artwork that depicts a man in the rain.
According to Carrey: “A sunshower seems like you’re being given a divine gift; a form of medicine with miraculous regenerative potential. It’s hard to hang on to scepticism while the air around you is sparkling like diamonds. The narration is a celebration of our communal light and those quietly exquisite moments that happen for us all.”
