The SPFL
To clarify, the cinch Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) is the national men’s football league in Scotland. It has 4 divisions: the Premiership, Championship, League 1, and League 2. To clarify, for this drop, users will be able to purchase NFTs from the Premiership only.
The Premiership saw Celtic crowned as Champions for the 2021-22 season, making it their 10th League win in 11 years. In fact, they were faulted only by their rival, Rangers’ historic 55th league title in the season prior. Historically, Rangers and Celtic, who make up the ‘Old Firm’ or ‘Glasgow Derby’ have been dominant, with Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, and Motherwell often challenging for 3rd-6th place with European football incentives in play.
Also, this season, Rangers made a great European run as they reached the Europa League final, UEFA’s second-tier competition of European club football. They only just lost against Eintracht Frankfurt in Sevilla in a penalty shootout.
