Calling all Sex Pistols fans, here’s your chance to be a part of your favorite rock band. Next month, there will be a God Save the Queen commemorative coin, a Sex Pistols NFT, and an A&M T-shirt bundle just for you. This comes in conjunction with the UK’s Platinum Jubilee for Queen Elizabeth II.
Introducing the Sex Pistols NFT: God Save the Queen
On the 28th July, 2022, the English punk rock band will officially drop their commemorative coin. This release is to celebrate the re-release of the iconic 1977 single: God Save The Queen. Using Jamie Reid’s iconic artwork, the nickel-plated coin has enamel color infills and raised sections of stamped iron. On the outside, the coin has a cushioned sapphire velvet presentation box with embossed silver detailing.
Interestingly, the commemorative coin comes with a bonus NFT. While there is only 1 design for the coin, buyers will receive random NFT designs when they mint it in July.
The team has chosen to partner with Palm NFT Studio to leverage its scalable and sustainable NFT ecosystem. The Palm Network uses a proof of stake system, which offers 99.9% reduction in energy consumption as compared to proof of work systems.
How to claim yours
The Sex Pistols coin and NFT are now available for pre-order at both the Sex Pistols official store and Record Store UK, with the same £25.00 price tag. On top of that, there will be a small delivery charge starting from £2.29, depending on the delivery address. As for the NFTs, buyers can access them through a different website (The Pistols Mint) at a later date. So do look out for your unique voucher code to claim your NFTs.
If you are interested, do note that the pre-order is only available during June 2022. After that, the team will aim to deliver the products and NFTs by the end of July 2022.
