The iconic Fearless Girl statue that stands proudly on Wall St, New York, is heading to the NFT space. The famous bronze statue by Kristen Visbal was introduced to the world in 2017 on International Women’s Day. Furthermore, the art piece has proved to be a centrepiece for questions on gender equality, equal pay and other issues.
Now, Kristen Visbal wants to continue these conversations with a unique NFT collection with physical and digital utility. Working with digital art house 9ifx.com, the pair have come up with a unique and creative collection that focuses on the core issues of Fearless Girl. Incredibly, the NFT collection also aims to highlight the struggle of Visbal for her rights over the original work.
“Fearless Girl symbolizes the call for gender equality in the workplace and is seen by millions each day,” said Kristen Visbal, creator of Fearless Girl. “Now that she’s entering the virtual world, women across the country and worldwide can carry their own fearless girl with them each day.”
How will the Fearless Girl NFT collection work?
The NFT collection, officially “Superstar Drop: Free Fearless Girl”, is a collection of 226 NFTs. In addition, there are three tiers in the NFT collection that imagines the heroic girl as a universal being evolving from celestial matter.
- One – Incorporates an NFT short movie with a full physical statue.
- Two – NFT video of a fiery Fearless Girl combined with a 22-inch bronze miniature.
- Three – Several trading cards showing Fearless Girl with a moving background.
Finally, the first of these drops will begin on OpenSea, on May 10th. Later in May, Tier Three and Tier One will also be available. There is a whitelist for the NFT collection, so you must register on the Fearless Girl website.
