Leading hardware wallet maker Ledger has announced that it is adding support for Polygon NFTs to its Ledger Live application. Users will now be able to visualize, send and receive their Polygon NFTs while enjoying the security of the Ledger Nano hardware wallets. This comes in addition to the Ethereum NFTs that Ledger Live already supports.
Polygon NFT owners can now enjoy the full benefits of Ledger Live
In essence, this new feature brings Ledger Live’s suite of tools to Polygon. Using the account section in Ledger Live, people can now easily view their Polygon NFTs. In addition, users can both send and receive Polygon NFTs straight to and from their Ledger wallets.
Significantly, Ledger Live will allow users to transact on Polygon with no blind signing. To sum up, by using Ledger Live with a Ledger hardware wallet, users can sign transactions much more confidently.
That’s because Ledger makes it easy to see all the important details about a transaction before you sign it. Not to mention that the offline nature of a Ledger hardware wallet makes it impenetrable to hackers.
One of the world’s most popular blockchains comes to Ledger Live
Aside from enhanced security through Ledger Live, Polygon NFT holders will also be able to hide any NFTs that they receive. This helps keep users’ valuable assets separate from any malicious or inappropriate NFTs that may land in their wallets.
Gaspard Broustine, NFT Project Manager at Ledger spoke about the new Ledger Live integration with Polygon.
“NFTs are all about digital ownership. And that’s what Ledger stands for, too,” he said. “We are making your NFT experience as seamless as possible while ensuring full security. The integration of Polygon, one of the world’s most popular blockchain, is a real milestone.”
Ledger expands its industry-leading tools to another blockchain
For those who don’t know, Ledger Live’s latest compatible network Polygon is a layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. In practice, this means that Polygon users can enjoy faster speeds and lower transaction fees in comparison to the main Ethereum blockchain.
Given all this, Polygon is a promising option for NFT owners and traders. Indeed, many major NFT projects use Polygon for distributing airdrops and things of that nature. By the same token, many blockchain games use Polygon as its benefits are incredibly useful for providing a good experience for players.
All things considered, Ledger is opening up avenues for its users by integrating Polygon onto Ledger Live. This new feature allows people to access Polygon NFTs in a way that is safe, secure, and enjoyable.
