The Imaginary Ones NFT collection drop is live! The Singaporean team, led by Clement and David, has established an insanely strong community around this project, with more than 500k people on Twitter alone. So what is all the hype around these 8,888 magical creatures?
Imaginary Ones NFT Drop
Some might say that the art is suspiciously similar to the Invisible Friends collection, but the art is just secondary to the value of an NFT project. At the time of writing, the private sale has already begun, with 4.2k whitelisted individuals. On 28 April 3am GMT, the public Dutch Auction will start at 50% of the OpenSea floor price for the remaining 4,488 pieces. The price will drop 0.1 ETH every 15 minutes, until it bottoms out at 0.2 ETH. With the size of the community, I’m sure they will be swept in no time.
At its very core, the Imaginary Ones collection aims to spread love, positivity, and creativity through art. In this world, no ideas are too crazy, nor too foolish. The project encourages the community to re-ignite whatever childhood ambitions they once held before the reality of life set in.
The Imaginary Ones team is fully doxxed, and comprise mainly of the good people from Offset Singapore. They are a digital video agency specializing in motion graphics and animation. This is not Clement Chia’s first rodeo in the NFT space. The co-founder’s 13-piece NFT collection has only 1 remaining piece, while the rest went up to as high as 11.55 ETH.
Collectively, the team’s notable clients include Nike, Apple, Samsung, Heineken, Spotify, and L’oreal. Their strength clearly lies in their decade-long entrepreneurial drive and experience as motion artists. The team has repeatedly emphasized their priority in community building and protecting fellow IOns. With 90% of the NFT sale going back to the community, it will be exciting to see what’s in store for the Imaginary Ones family.
