The Times Square Mall in Hong Kong is entering the virtual world as it announces a replica metaverse location. Moreover, this will see the mall working in partnership with Bunny Warriors and AiR metaverse, who have already built a version of Hong Kong in their online world.
Times Square Mall metaverse hopes to improve foot traffic.
With the introduction of the Times Square Mall, this new partnership will become the first entry of a shopping mall into the AiR metaverse. It is the latest in a long line of virtual world updates by AiR. The company aims to connect every aspect of life to the metaverse.
“Starting with the collaboration with Times Square, we want to provide shoppers with the first – and a unique – metaverse experience and show them we are the most accessible and practical metaverse to the general public,” said Terence Chow, chief executive officer of AiR.
There are also hopes that this new metaverse partnership will improve the foot traffic for the Times Square Mall. It has been a challenging time for the entire retail industry.
Furthermore, many companies are looking at ways to boost sales whilst social distancing rules and Covid regulations are still in place. Having a replica mall in the metaverse that users can browse and buy goods in is one unique way.
Finally, there is already a Times Square exhibition in the metaverse mall. It is a Bunny Warriors pop-op store where visitors can try out the popular metaverse game. In addition, there are also sixty Bunny Warriors NFTs available to buy in the virtual mall.
