A creative agency from Tbilisi, Georgia, is trolling Russia by selling parts of their country as land NFTs. The Georgian company, Leavingstone, is mocking the Russian government two months into the invasion of Ukraine.
There are 2,4423 NFTs for sale in the first of three Russia For Sale project phases.
Each NFT by the company from Georgia represents a region of Russia. They exist on playing cards with stats such as the place’s name, size of the area, and a coat of arms.
Georgia Mocks Russia with land NFT sale
There is even an interactive map for potential buyers to choose their land. As a further dig at the Russian army, the website cursor is a tractor pulling a tank, in a nod to the videos of Ukrainian tractors pulling away Russian tanks.
So far, the Georgia company have sold 27 land NFTs and raised 6.1425 ETH ($18,596). However, there are still 2416 lands for sale. Significantly, 100% of the money raised by Russia For Sale project will support Ukraine.
In fact, they will transfer it directly to the official Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Wallet. Importantly, this division uses digital skills to fight the war against Russia. They are involved in cyber warfare, tackle disinformation, and recruit a volunteer IT army.
It has been almost two months since Russia invaded Ukraine, and the NFT project by this company from Georgia is trying to help in every way possible.
So far, the most considerable Russian land NFT sale was for the area of Moscow, which sold for $15,000.
