VaynerSports Pass Is Sold Out! What We Know About It So Far

Launched yesterday, April 5, VaynerSports Pass (VSP) NFTs are already sold out! Founded by Gary Vaynerchuck’s brother, AJ (@ajv on Twitter), VaynerSports Pass is a premier utility-first sports NFT project. Its aim is to help fans to connect with their favourite athletes. So far, the project supports NFL, MLB, Combat, Gaming, and NIL divisions. Besides, it has over 100 athletes onboard. 

“The VaynerSports Pass is a utility first project, with collectibility,” AJ tweeted yesterday. “We aim to consistently deliver value to all our holders over a long period of time. This is going to be fun! I’m super excited for what’s to come.”

VaynerSports Pass NFT mechanics explained

VaynerSports Pass includes a total of 15,555 NFTs and was available for a mint price of 0.155 ETH. The passes can have 0 to 4 sports icons on them. This includes Baseball, Football, MMA, esports, Basketball, Golf, Hockey, Soccer, Tennis, and Volleyball.

According to AJ, the team decided to “go a different route” and launch the project in a “semi-stealth” way. Apparently, the project has been in the making for over a year and they wanted to launch it the “right” way. 

The main focus of the project is to offer its community access and utility. Actually, unlike your typical NFT projects, VaynerSports Pass doesn’t have a public Discord server. Instead, it will have a private, members-only Metalink community. All members will get access to this private community and will get a chance to access events, giveaways, and exclusive content.

To explain, the project will host members-only live streams and several physical and digital experiences. Pass holders will also get access to tickets to sporting events, exclusive VaynerSports merch, discounts, and freebies. Actually, VaynerSports Pass promises access to events like the Superbowl and the World Series. This will happen through a raffle for a small group of randomly selected holders. Besides, one-on-one virtual hangouts with VaynerSports athletes are also in the pipeline. 

However, owning a VaynerSports Pass NFT does not guarantee direct access to Gary Vee. To be sure, Gary does have a “large hand” in the project. However, VaynerSports will always focus on its athletes, art from its partners, and experiences for fans.  

The future of the project

Within a day of launch, VaynerSports Pass’ floor has reached 0.4 ETH. So far, the project has raked in 2,900 ETH (around $9.7 million) in sales volume on OpenSea. Besides, it has 6,100 owners. 

In terms of a roadmap, the project’s Q2 2022 plans are just VSP partnership mints, VaynerSports Pass NFT sale, and Metalink community opening. In Q3, the project has planned exclusive digital experiences and real-life sports experiences for VSP holders, as well as the first VSP mint. Finally, in Q4, members can expect more digital experiences, World Series tickets giveaway, and more collaborations and sports experiences.
