It will cover many topics and cater to people with all levels of knowledge of the space, from newbies to experts.
Speakers are set to be at the event across the two days. Topics set to be discussed include marketing in the metaverse, mixed reality, and avatars within the metaverse.
In addition to this, an awards show will be held, the ‘MetaUp Awards Ceremony’. Which gives pro awards to explore the value of metaverse marketing. Some of the awards include Avatars New Talent Award and Most Valuable NFT Platform Award.
China’s Saga with Crypto and NFTs
China’s dealings with NFTs and crypto have certainly been up and down. They have gone from allowing them to banning them many times. Previously, in September 2021, the Chinese state banned crypto. Their reasoning was to “curtail financial crime and prevent economic instability”, and made all crypto trades illegal.
Later down the line, China launched its own BSN-DDC. This is basically China’s own blockchain tech. This means that the Chinese state is able to handle the crypto in the country. Only if their systems are used and adopted.
Now, the Chinese social media platform, WeChat has just begun banning accounts that it deems are promoting NFTs. Speaking on the situation, the platform said that it had “recently standardised and rectified public accounts and small programmes for speculation and secondary sales of digital collections”.
