At 30 ETH, Azuki NFT’s floor shows no signs of slowing down. While this is good news for Azuki holders—obviously, other blue-chip NFT owners are not so happy. After all, the floor of several blue-chip NFT projects like Doodles and Cool Cats is not even half that of Azuki NFT. In fact, Cool Cats floor is just shy of 8 ETH, at the time of writing.
Other Blue-Chip NFT Owners React to Azuki’s Floor Price
The Azuki NFT collection recently made its first $1 million sale after Azuki #9605 fetched around $1.2 million. This is no small feat for an NFT collection still in its early days. This is perhaps why Azuki’s floor price has been rising over the last couple of days. Amid this, owners of several other blue-chip projects are now asking, “Why?”.
“i don’t give a damn about @doodles floor price but i seriously care about how we perform relative to other collections,” tweeted Twitter user purple_police. “when i see @AzukiOfficial reaching 30 eth in 3 months of existence, i ask myself what have the blockers been for us to be there first.”
To make matters worse, the Azuki NFT project recently airdropped two piles of dirt to all holders. While many have wondered whether this was an April fool’s prank, the dirt NFTs’ floor has actually been rising. Currently, the floor of ‘Something Official’ is at 10.2 ETH, surpassing that of Cool Cats.
Just before the collection overtook Cool Cats, one Twitter user wrote, “So a literal piece of dirt is about to overtake these cats that I’ve diligently held onto for 9 months?”
All things considered, Azuki NFT is well-positioned to give several blue-chip projects a run for their money. It will be interesting to see if the other projects will make any moves to appease their members.
