Yuga Labs recently announced the release of their Apecoin. Everyone in the NFT and crypto space seems to be thrilled with the new update the Bored Ape Yacht Club developers have made. But, recently, a BuzzFeed Writer got roasted by crypto Twitter following her controversial tweet about the project.
Katie Notopoulos(@katienotopoulos), a tech reporter for BuzzFeed News, asked a question that garnered many negative reactions. She inquired if there are any Bored Ape holders frustrated about the allocations of the $Ape token who wants to reach out to her.
While some don’t see the harm in fishing for negative comments about the newly released $Ape token. Others became annoyed at how Katie phrased her tweet. Another journalist even replied and told her “Why phrase a question specifically seeking out a vast minority of opinions?”
In the same thread, a qualitative researcher also responded saying “Your opening question is already biasing the results, leading to journalism that is unlikely to tell the true story.”
