Lucky festival-goers can claim one NFT from the very first FTX-Tomorrowland NFT collection.
Crypto exchange FTX has just shaken hands with Tomorrowland. It’s the huge Belgian music festival, famous for raking over 400,000 goers. In light of this event, the new duo will enable crypto options in ticketing, plus a release of NFTs for attendees.
FTX and Tomorrowland: A Push for Creativity
Michael Beers, the Tomorrowland co-founder, says the FTX collab aligns with their values.
“Since day one,” Beers says, “it’s within the DNA of Tomorrowland to never stop pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation.”
The partnership is marketing Tomorrowland’s Winter Festival as a new magical journey. With this in mind, they’re looking to create the most unique experiences for their global community.
Beginning on March 19, the festival will feature crypto-related highlights.
The FTX-Tomorrowland NFT Collection: A Letter from the Universe
Organizers have prepared 6,500 NFTs for Tomorrowland’s first collection. They’re calling the bunch “A Letter from the Universe.”
Among others, a special highlight called “The Quest” will allow goers to collect the first 1,500 NFTs. This will award 250 daily winners with one NFT from the new collection.
Each festival day, the first 125 winners will also have exclusive access to a secret showcase.
“It’s exciting to see the continued blending of crypto, music, and events,” remarked FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried.
Tomorrowland History
Two Belgian brothers founded Tomorrowland in 2005. Since then, the festival continues to attract hundreds of thousands of attendees.
This year’s event marks “the beginning of a new story with FTX.” This was how Tomorrowland described it in a new web page dedicated to NFT.
All things considered, the remaining 5,000 NFTs in Tomorrowland’s first collection will be out for public sale on March 26.
