Lakshmi Manchu Supports 4 Female NFT Artists on WazirX For IWD 2022

Yesterday, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, Indian NFT marketplace WazirX announced that Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu has joined the platform as a collector. With a vision of ‘women supporting women’, Manchu collected four NFTs by female artists on the marketplace. 

“In an exponentially growing world of the crypto, meta and NFT, I want to encourage and empower more women to explore this new digital universe,” Lakshmi Manchu said in a press release. “We have seen when women back women amazing things happen, it’s time we play in this ‘mans world’. I am super stoked to be collecting some cool art done by some very talented women and explore this absolutely exciting world of NFT.”

All in all, Lakshmi Manchu collected four NFTs from female artists on WazirX. Firstly, she bought ‘Gangsta Sisters’ from 7wichitra. The NFT features three ‘gangsta’ women in traditional Indian attire. Meanwhile, she purchased ‘Lockdown Dreams’ by Creative Dignity, depicting women relaxing in quiet surroundings. Creative Dignity is a volunteer-led movement that focuses on relief, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation in the craft sector.

Manchu also collected ‘Treasury of Love’ which highlights a “mesmerizing duo of two machines with amorous passion and feelings for each other”. Female artist Puja Patra created the stunning artwork. Lastly, the actress bought ‘AMEYAA’, created by one of India’s leading female street artists, Shena Chakraborty.
